Tourist Visas: A visa is required for entry
to Brazil for citizens of the United States, Canada and Australia. For a list of those citizens who must obtain a visa or
are exempt from the requirement, please check with your local Brazilian
Consulate, or refer to the list provided by the New York City office: To obtain a visa, one must apply no sooner than 90 days prior to departure, and must have at least 6 months remaining on their passport from the date of intended arrival in Brazil (with at least one blank page available); a Visa Application Form, filled out, dated and signed by the applicant; a recent 2"x 2" passport-photo, front view, white background (snapshots or computer pictures are not accepted); and a copy of a round-trip ticket or a booked itinerary showing travel to and from Brazil, confirming purchase of the ticket and passenger's name, itinerary, flight number and arrival/departure dates. The Consulate may request additional information or documentation as deemed necessary. A fee is usually required; for U.S. citizens it is US$130. Additional information and the appropriate forms are available at your nearest Brazilian Consulate and/or on its website. For a list of locations in the United States, see NY Consul Map Riders and passengers must wear appropriate clothing and helmets. We request everyone bring their own gear for individual comfort. In addition to full-faced helmets, we also highly recommend boots, gloves, and padded jacket and pants of leather or other abrasion resistant material, as well as rain gear. Motorcycle License All riders must have a valid motorcycle license, which needs to be duly recognized in Brazil. We can handle that paperwork at no cost to the rider. Simply e-mail us a scanned copy of both sides of the license at least two weeks prior to the ride, and present the original upon arrival. Insurance Riders and passengers should obtain travel health insurance which may include baggage loss, trip cancellation and other benefits. The application process must be handled by the tour participants as we can not be responsible for the accurate preparation of the required forms. |
